How the areas compare
- Beach and city: Central Pattaya and South Pattaya face Pattaya Beach, with the densest condo towers, the malls and Walking Street.
- North and quieter: Naklua and Wongamat, beyond the Dolphin Roundabout, have calmer beaches and beachfront towers.
- The hill: Pratumnak sits on the headland between Pattaya and Jomtien, with smaller beaches and
lower-density buildings. - South coast: Jomtien has a 6 km beach and many
long-stay residents; Na Jomtien, beyond it, belongs to Sattahip District and is quieter still. - Inland: East Pattaya, east of Sukhumvit Road, is where most houses and villas are, with more space and no sea views.
