What we collect
When you use an enquiry form
The topic you choose, your first name if you give it, your message, and any property or car details you type (such as the type, building, bedrooms, price, car model, year or mileage). The forms also have two optional fields, for your email address and for your phone or WhatsApp number; you can leave both empty. When you message or call us
If you message us on WhatsApp or LINE, or call, we receive your phone number or account name and what you tell us, such as the property you want, your dates and your budget. Owners also send property details, photos and copies of documents such as a title deed.
Cookies and tracking
The website does not use advertising cookies, analytics or social media tracking pixels. If we add any in the future, we will ask for your consent first.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and take the steps you ask for before a lease, sale, booking or car rental, such as arranging a viewing or passing your offer to an owner. If you add an email address or phone number to a form, we may reply to you that way. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract.
- To make sure no enquiry is missed. Every enquiry sent through a form is emailed to our team's mailboxes, which only our staff use. That email contains what you typed in the form (the topic, your first name, your message, any property or car details, and your email and phone if you gave them) and the page and listing reference it was sent from. If you gave an email address, we also send you one confirmation email with a summary of your enquiry and our contact details. These emails are part of answering your request, so the legal basis is the same as above.
- To keep the website working and protect it from spam and abuse, and to see which pages lead to enquiries, so we can improve them. The legal basis is our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
- To keep records the law requires. The legal basis is our legal obligations.
We do not send newsletters or marketing emails. We do not use your data for automated decisions, and we do not sell it.
Data stored outside Thailand
The messaging apps, our hosting provider and the providers of our team's email accounts may store data on servers outside Thailand. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers set out in their terms and on the exceptions the PDPA allows for carrying out what you asked us to do.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry form and
contact-button records in our website database are deleted automatically 365 days after they are made. - Enquiry emails are kept in our team's mailboxes while the enquiry is open, and afterwards only for as long as we need them for our records or the law requires.
- Messages and documents about a lease, sale, booking or car are kept while the matter is open and afterwards only for as long as we need them for our records or the law requires.
- Owner listing details are kept while the property is listed and for our records afterwards.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you can ask us to:
- give you access to, or a copy of, the personal data we hold about you;
- send your data to you or to another controller in a commonly used format;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete or anonymise your data, or restrict how we use it;
- stop using your data where we rely on legitimate interests;
- withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting what we did before.
We reply to requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) in Thailand.
