What should you check when buying a used car in Pattaya?
- The name in the registration book matches the seller, and the chassis and engine numbers match the car.
- The yearly road tax and the compulsory insurance are paid up.
- The mileage fits the car's age and its service history.
- Any outstanding finance has been paid off; a car under finance cannot be transferred until it is.
- A test drive and, for an older car, an inspection by a mechanic you choose.
How do you transfer car ownership in Thailand?
Ownership changes at the Department of Land Transport. The seller brings the registration book and their ID, and the buyer brings ID and proof of address in Thailand; foreign buyers are usually asked for a certificate of residence or a work permit. Agree before you go how the balance is paid: the safe order is that the payment clears in the seller's account first, then both sides sign the transfer forms. Once you agree a price, we tell both sides what to bring.

Yes. The car is registered in your name at the Department of Land Transport, which asks for your passport and proof of your address in Thailand.

Yes. Message us with the car's ref and we arrange a time with the owner, or contact us with what you are looking for.
Is the price negotiable?

Is 09Wi a car dealer?
No. The cars belong to their owners. We list them, answer buyers' questions and arrange viewings.
